A smoother way to show, not tell

A screen recorder with the useful controls up front

Some things are easier to explain when people can see every click. Use this browser screen recorder to make a software walkthrough, record a lesson, share a presentation, or document a technical issue. Set up the capture once, keep the parts you need, and leave the editing suite closed for simple recordings.

Frame the right source

Pick a browser tab, an application window, or your full screen in the browser’s sharing dialog. The choice is yours each time you start a capture.

Choose how motion feels

Request 15, 24, 30, or 60 frames per second. Smooth motion can help a fast demo; a lower rate may suit a slower walkthrough. The browser decides what it can capture.

Set a quality target

Compact, Balanced, and High detail adjust the video encoding target. Higher detail can make larger files, while resolution, movement, and browser support affect the result too.

Bring in the right audio

Record microphone audio, tab or system audio, or both when supported. Available audio choices can change with the tab, window, or display you select.

Pause, reset, keep going

Pause and resume without starting a new recording. It’s handy when you need to switch screens, gather your thoughts, or skip an interruption.

Preview before it leaves the page

Stop the capture, watch it back, and download when it looks right. The browser picks a compatible video format, such as WebM or MP4 where available.

The quick-start sequence

Three moves. One clear recording.

A short test can save a retake. Check your audio and chosen screen source before recording a longer tutorial, product demo, or presentation.

Screen recorder questions, answered

Get the details on screen capture, audio, quality settings, downloads, and deleting a recording from your page.

How do I record my screen online?

Choose your frame rate and quality, enable audio if needed, and press Start recording. Select a tab, window, or display in the browser prompt. Stop when you’re finished to preview and download the video.

Can I record a browser tab with sound and my voice?

Turn on tab or system audio and Include microphone before starting. Whether both sources are available depends on your browser and what you select in its sharing dialog. Make a brief test recording to check the result.

Will the 60 fps option always record at 60 fps?

No. The frame-rate choices are requests, not guarantees. Your browser, device, and capture source determine the rate the screen recorder can use.

Does High detail make the screen recording larger?

It can. The quality setting changes the encoder’s bitrate target. File size also depends on resolution, on-screen movement, the recording length, and browser behavior.

Where does the downloaded screen recording go?

Select Download video after recording. Your browser handles the download and saves the file according to its download settings. In compatible browsers, choose a save location before recording for progressive saving.

What file format does the recorder create?

The recorder uses a format supported by your browser. Depending on the browser, the file may be WebM or MP4.

What happens when I erase a recording?

Erase clears the current recording from the page. If you recorded directly to a chosen file, the recorder asks before erasing that file. A copy you already downloaded must be deleted separately.

Why can’t my browser share the screen?

Screen capture needs a supported browser, a secure page such as HTTPS, and your approval in the browser’s sharing prompt. Support varies by browser and device. Try an up-to-date desktop browser if your current device does not offer screen capture.
