What kind of photo filter are you looking for?

Different photos call for different moods. There is no single “best” filter—there is the look that fits the image you are editing.

Start with one of the built-in styles, then adjust its settings until the photo feels right.

Warm & Golden Hour

Use Warm for a natural temperature lift or Golden Hour for brighter, richer sunset-style warmth.

Cinematic

Shape contrast, color temperature, shadows and vignette for a more dramatic movie-inspired look.

Vintage, Film & Sepia

Choose Vintage or Film for faded analog character, or Sepia for a stronger classic brown-toned finish.

Mono & Noir

Mono gives you a balanced black-and-white conversion; Noir pushes contrast, shadows and vignette for a darker result.

Cool & Moody

Cool shifts the temperature toward blue, while Moody lowers brightness and saturation for a deeper, more atmospheric result.

Vivid, Chrome & Teal/Orange

Vivid boosts color, Chrome pushes contrast and saturation, and Teal & Orange creates a stylized cinematic color split.

Photo Filter FAQ

Questions about using the online photo filter

The useful answers—without making you dig through a manual.

Is this photo filter tool free?

Yes. You can upload an image, use the 15 presets or Random Effect, fine-tune the adjustments and download the edited result without needing to create an account.

Which image formats can I use?

The editor accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 15 MB. Finished images can be downloaded as PNG or JPG.

Does my photo get uploaded to a server?

The filtering and image-processing work is performed locally in your browser, so the tool does not need to send your photo to a remote server to apply the edits.

Can I customize a filter after selecting it?

Yes. A preset or Random Effect is only a starting point. After choosing one, you can adjust its brightness, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation, temperature, tint, sharpening, vignette, fade, grayscale, sepia, hue and blur settings.

Can I make a photo black and white?

Yes. Choose Mono for a balanced black-and-white look, Noir for a darker high-contrast style, or control the grayscale adjustment yourself, then refine contrast, exposure, highlights, shadows and other settings to create the look you want.

What is the difference between a preset and fine tuning?

A preset applies a prepared combination of adjustments. Random Effect generates a new combination for inspiration. Fine tuning gives you direct control over the individual settings so you can modify either result or build your own photo effect.

Can I preview a filter before downloading?

Yes. The main live preview updates while you switch presets, use Random Effect or change adjustment values. Preset buttons also show miniature previews based on your uploaded photo.

Can I download the filtered photo as JPG or PNG?

Yes. Choose PNG when you want lossless output and transparency support, or JPG when you want a standard photo format. JPG export uses 100% quality in this tool.
