Photosensitivity warning: Flashing patterns can cause seizures or discomfort. Playback starts only when you press Start. Stop immediately if uncomfortable. This screen is not a certified emergency or safety signal.

How to use

Pick a police-style, ambulance, fire, roadwork, marine, aviation, or other light preset. Adjust the colors, speed, lens style and pattern, then start the simulation. Fullscreen works best in a dim room. No sound is generated.

Presets are illustrative, not official standards. Flash timing and color meanings vary across countries and equipment.

WHAT IS THIS TOOL?

A Virtual Warning Light Simulator, Built for Everyone.

A flashing light generator is an interactive tool that creates repeating visual light effects. Instead of buying physical strobes, wiring LEDs or installing specialist software, you can experiment with different lighting styles on your computer, tablet or phone.

Our online simulator brings together emergency-style flashing lights, rotating beacon effects, alternating warning lamps, LED chase patterns, double flashes and more in one simple interface.

Whether you're exploring light patterns for a design concept, demonstrating visual signals, preparing a creative project or simply curious about how different warning lights look, you can experiment in seconds.

THE CREATIVE CONTROL ROOM

Every Flash. Every Color. Your Rules.

LIGHT COLOR EXPLORER

Six Colors. Very Different Meanings.

Warning light colors are not chosen at random. Different colors are associated with different functions, although their legal meanings depend on the country, industry and equipment.

Red — Stop & Emergency

Commonly associated with stop signals, emergency vehicles, railway warnings and critical alerts. Exact applications vary by jurisdiction.

Blue — Emergency Services

Widely associated with police and other emergency services in many regions. Blue-light permissions and meanings are not universal.

Amber — Caution & Hazards

Frequently used for road maintenance, construction equipment, tow trucks and vehicles that may create an unusual road hazard.

Green — Status & Navigation

Can indicate normal machine status and is used as the starboard navigation color on vessels. Other applications vary.

White — Visibility & Strobes

Found in many illumination, navigation and anti-collision applications. Flashing white can be intensely distracting.

Purple — Specialized Signals

Used in certain specialized or regional applications and useful for creative lighting concepts. It has no single universal meaning.

Important: This color guide is educational, not a legal authorization to use emergency or restricted lighting on public roads.
BEYOND THE FLASH

Explore the World of Warning Lights

From busy highways to factory floors, flashing lights serve different purposes. The simulator brings these visual styles together so you can compare their appearance and timing.

Emergency Vehicle Lights

Police, fire and ambulance lightbars often use high-visibility sequences to attract attention. Their colors, patterns and permitted uses vary by region.

Construction & Roadwork Beacons

Amber warning lights help identify slow-moving machinery, maintenance activity and potential hazards around work areas.

Railway & Crossing Signals

Alternating red lights are familiar at many railway crossings, where warning systems alert road users to approaching trains.

Industrial Signal Towers

Stack lights on machines can communicate operating states, faults and requests for attention. Meanings depend on the installation.

Aircraft & Aviation Lighting

Aircraft use combinations of navigation and anti-collision lights. The simulator provides visual inspiration rather than aviation-compliant sequences.

Marine & Lighthouse Signals

Marine navigation uses defined colors and viewing angles, while lighthouses can have distinctive flash characteristics. These require more than simple color matching.

QUICK START GUIDE

Your First Light Show in 5 Steps

No installation, no wiring, no technical experience. Just choose your look and experiment.

01

Pick a Preset

Select a police, beacon, industrial or other lighting style.

02

Choose a Shape

Use the preset's fixture or choose a different lamp design.

03

Tune the Flash

Adjust speed, colors, brightness and the pattern.

04

Press Start

Watch the selected visual effect come to life.

05

Go Fullscreen

Expand the display and adjust fixture size as needed.

For comfort, begin with a slower pattern and lower brightness. Stop the animation whenever needed.
UNDERSTANDING THE RHYTHM

It's Not Just the Color. It's the Pattern.

Two warning lights can use exactly the same colors yet feel completely different because of their timing. The spacing between flashes, the number of pulses and the order of illumination all influence the result.

Experiment with the pattern selector to compare smooth pulses, rapid bursts, alternating lamps and sequential LED effects. Each style creates a different visual rhythm.

Tip: A higher flashing speed does not automatically make a warning signal more effective. Real signaling equipment is designed around visibility, operating conditions and applicable standards.

ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS

Flashing Light Generator FAQ

Everything you might want to know about online siren lights, strobe effects, warning beacons and the simulator.

What is an online flashing light generator?

It is a browser-based tool that simulates flashing lights on your screen. You can choose colors, fixture designs, light patterns and speeds to create different visual effects.

Can I simulate police red and blue lights?

Yes. The generator includes police-style red and blue lighting presets, as well as other emergency-inspired color combinations. These are visual effects, not official reproductions of any particular police lighting system.

Can I create an amber warning beacon?

Yes. You can choose amber-themed roadwork, construction or beacon-style presets and customize their flashing patterns and appearance.

What flashing patterns are available?

The tool offers 13 pattern styles, including alternating flashes, strobes, pulses, double and multiple bursts, wig-wag effects, LED chase patterns and flicker-style effects.

Can I change the light fixture shape?

Yes. The generator includes 15 fixture styles. Depending on the preset, a shape may be selected automatically, and you can also choose another fixture manually.

Does the tool work on phones and tablets?

The interface is designed to adapt to mobile and desktop screen sizes. Actual animation performance depends on your device, browser and graphics capabilities.

Can I make the lights bigger in fullscreen?

Yes. Fullscreen mode includes a fixture-size adjustment so you can enlarge or reduce the visual display while keeping the selected fixture's proportions.

Can I adjust flash speed and brightness?

Yes. The generator includes controls for flashing speed and visual brightness, along with customizable colors and additional lighting effects.

Are the emergency light patterns accurate?

The presets are inspired by real-world equipment, but they are simplified visual simulations. Actual emergency, aviation, marine and industrial signals can have specific timing, placement and certification requirements.

Is a flashing light simulator safe for everyone?

No. Flashing lights may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy and can cause discomfort for others. Avoid rapid strobe effects if you are sensitive to flashing images, and stop if symptoms occur.

Can I use this as a real emergency warning light?

No. A screen-based simulation is not a certified emergency signal. It must not replace approved vehicle lights, hazard warnings, marine navigation lights or aviation equipment.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The generator works in a supported web browser without requiring a separate app installation. Simply open the tool, choose your settings and start the visual effect.
