Everything you need

More than a basic audio pitch changer

Transpose a song for a different vocal range, slow down a difficult solo, loop a tricky section or create a new practice file—all from one focused audio workspace.

±12 semitones

Transpose audio into a new key

Shift a track up or down by semitones to find a more comfortable singing key, rehearse an instrument part in another key or experiment with a completely different musical character.

Fine control

Fine-tune pitch in cents

Need something smaller than a full semitone? Adjust pitch in cents for precise tuning, useful when working with older recordings, instruments, samples or tracks that sit slightly sharp or flat.

50–200%

Slow down or speed up playback

Reduce playback speed to study fast passages or increase it for rehearsal and experimentation. Pitch and playback speed have separate controls so you can shape them independently.

A–B loop

Loop difficult sections

Mark a start point and an end point, enable looping and rehearse the same phrase repeatedly. Great for guitar solos, vocal runs, drum fills, language practice and choreography.

MP3 + WAV

Export your processed audio

When your settings sound right, render a new file directly from the browser. Choose MP3 bitrate or WAV quality depending on whether you prefer smaller files or higher-fidelity output.

Local

Audio stays on your device

Your selected track is handled in the browser rather than being uploaded as part of the normal workflow. That means faster interaction and more privacy while you practice.

What does transposing audio mean?

Transposing changes the musical pitch of a recording. Moving up by +1 semitone raises every note by one half-step, while −1 semitone lowers it by one half-step.

Example

If a backing track is too high for your voice, try lowering it by −1, −2 or −3 semitones until the melody sits comfortably in your range.

Pitch and speed are not the same thing

Pitch controls how high or low the notes sound. Speed controls how quickly the recording plays. The Audio Transposer gives you separate controls so you can practice at a slower tempo without having to choose a different musical key.

01

Choose your audio

Select or drag an MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or FLAC file into the transposer.

02

Adjust pitch & speed

Move by full semitones, dial in cents for precision and set the playback speed you want.

03

Listen & practice

Preview changes, seek through the waveform or create an A–B loop around a difficult section.

04

Export MP3 or WAV

Pick your output quality, start processing and save the transformed audio when rendering is complete.

Built for real practice

Who can use an audio transposer?

Anywhere pitch, tempo or repetition matters, a quick browser-based transposer can save time.

Singers

Move backing tracks into a vocal range that feels more comfortable.

Musicians

Slow down solos, identify notes and rehearse passages in different keys.

Dancers

Reduce song speed while learning choreography, then gradually return to full tempo.

Teachers & students

Create slower practice material and repeat short sections during lessons.

Audio formats supported

The file picker accepts common audio formats used for music, recordings and practice tracks. Actual decoding support can also depend on the browser and device.

MP3 WAV M4A AAC OGG FLAC

MP3 or WAV: which should you export?

Choose based on file size and audio workflow.

MP3

A convenient choice when you want a smaller file for everyday listening, rehearsal, phones or sharing between your own devices.

128 · 192 · 256 · 320 kbps

WAV

A better fit when you want an uncompressed audio file for editing, archiving or a higher-fidelity production workflow.

16-bit · 24-bit · 32-bit float

Practice trick: slow first, speed up later

Difficult passages become much easier to learn when you isolate a short section, reduce the tempo and increase the speed gradually as your accuracy improves.

01

Set A and B

Isolate only the phrase you actually need to learn.

02

Try 60–75%

Slow playback enough to hear timing and detail clearly.

03

Repeat accurately

Use the loop until the passage feels controlled rather than rushed.

04

Increase gradually

Raise the speed in small steps until you reach the original tempo.

Audio Transposer FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about pitch shifting, speed changes, exports and browser audio processing.

Can I change the key of a song online?
Yes. Load the audio file into the transposer and use the semitone control to move the recording higher or lower. Fine tuning in cents is also available when you need a smaller pitch adjustment.
Can I slow down audio while keeping the pitch setting separate?
Yes. The tool provides separate pitch and speed controls, so you can slow a recording for practice while independently choosing the pitch or key you want.
What is an A–B audio loop?
An A–B loop repeats a selected part of the audio. Set point A at the beginning of a passage and point B at the end, then enable looping to hear that section repeatedly without manually seeking back.
Can I export the transposed audio?
Yes. The processed track can be exported as MP3 or WAV. MP3 includes selectable bitrate options, while WAV includes multiple output quality choices.
Can I cancel an audio export?
Yes. While an export is processing, use the cancel option to stop the current export operation. The progress display shows the current processing state.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?
The tool is designed to process the selected audio in your browser. Your normal transposing and export workflow does not require uploading the track to UtilityGlen storage.
Does the Audio Transposer work on mobile?
The interface is responsive and intended for modern desktop and mobile browsers. Audio format decoding and browser download behavior can vary by browser and operating system.
