Crop Audio 10-Band EQ Pitch & Tuning

A serious audio editor without the serious setup.

UtilityGlen's online Audio Editor gives you the controls people actually need: crop audio, change pitch, retune songs, adjust playback speed, shape tone with a 10-band equalizer, boost quiet audio, and export MP3 or WAV.

No timeline clutter. No giant production suite. No account required to start editing. Load a track, make your changes, preview the result and render the version you want.

Editing toolkit

One file in. A completely different sound out.

Whether you're preparing a backing track, cleaning up a recording, making a rehearsal version, experimenting with alternate tuning, or simply trimming unnecessary audio, the editor keeps the entire workflow in one focused interface.

Precision

Crop audio without guessing

Set the exact beginning and end of the section you want to keep. The waveform makes it easier to identify intros, silence, outros, mistakes and unwanted sections.

Visual waveform selection
±12 semitones

Change the musical key

Transpose a track higher or lower in semitone steps, then use fine tuning in cents when a full half-step is too much.

Custom Hz

Retune A4 to 432 Hz, 442 Hz and beyond

Enter a custom A4 reference frequency or choose a quick tuning preset. The editor calculates the required pitch offset relative to standard A4 = 440 Hz.

Shape your sound with a 10-band equalizer

Control frequencies from deep 31 Hz sub-bass through 16 kHz air. Cut muddiness, add vocal presence, brighten dull recordings or give bass more weight.

50–200%

Slow down or speed up audio

Reduce playback speed for transcription or practice, or increase it when reviewing recordings. Pitch and speed remain independently adjustable.

Increase quiet audio with boost

Normal volume stays capped at 100%, while a separate gain boost lets you push quiet recordings above their original level when necessary.

Excessive boost may introduce clipping

Ten bands. Ten ways to shape a recording.

The equalizer divides the audible spectrum into useful frequency regions. Boost a band to emphasize it, or cut it when that part of the recording feels overpowering.

EQ tip

Small changes usually sound more natural than extreme boosts. Try ±2 to 4 dB first before reaching for the full ±12 dB range.

Reference tuning

What does “432 Hz audio” actually mean?

When the editor is set to A4 = 432 Hz, it shifts the recording relative to the modern 440 Hz reference. It does not simply generate a 432 Hz tone: it retunes the entire track by the calculated pitch difference.

Creative frequency presets

The editor also includes commonly shared meditation, “solfeggio,” and chakra-style frequency presets for creative experimentation.

174 Hz 285 Hz 396 Hz 417 Hz 528 Hz 639 Hz 741 Hz 852 Hz 963 Hz

These are provided as creative tuning presets. Claims that particular frequencies heal specific conditions or correspond to biological effects are not established by scientific evidence.

What can you use this online audio editor for?

One tool, plenty of reasons to open it.

Vocal practice

Transpose backing tracks into a more comfortable singing key.

Music practice

Slow difficult passages and change tuning while learning by ear.

Voice recordings

Trim dead space, adjust tone and increase quiet recordings.

Audio experiments

Try alternate pitch references, EQ curves and unusual playback speeds.

Volume vs audio boost: what's the difference?

The normal volume slider runs from silence to 100%. Audio Boost is separate and adds gain above that normal level, up to +12 dB.

Volume
0–100%

Normal listening level with a one-click reset to 100%.

Boost
0 to +12 dB

Extra gain for recordings that are too quiet at normal volume.

Boosting audio cannot restore detail that was never recorded, and excessive gain may create clipping or distortion.

Browser-based processing

Edit audio locally instead of sending every track to a cloud editor

The editor is designed to decode, preview, process and render your selected audio in the browser. That keeps the editing workflow fast and avoids requiring an audio-file upload to UtilityGlen storage for normal use.

Audio Editor FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about cropping, pitch shifting, EQ, tuning, volume boosting and exports.

Can I crop an audio file online?
Yes. Use the crop start and crop end controls to select the part of the waveform you want to keep. The exported file contains only that selected section.
Can I change the key or pitch of a song?
Yes. The transpose control changes pitch in semitones, while Fine Tune provides smaller adjustments in cents. Reference tuning can also shift the track relative to A4 = 440 Hz.
Can I convert music from 440 Hz to 432 Hz?
Yes. Select 432 Hz as the A4 reference tuning and the editor calculates the pitch difference relative to 440 Hz. The adjustment is applied to playback and export.
What frequencies are available in the equalizer?
The 10-band equalizer covers 31 Hz, 62 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz and 16 kHz. Each band can be boosted or cut by up to 12 dB.
Can I make quiet audio louder than 100%?
Yes. Normal volume is limited to 100%, but the separate Audio Boost control can add up to +12 dB of gain. Use boost carefully because loud recordings may clip when amplified heavily.
Can I export edited audio as MP3 or WAV?
Yes. MP3 export includes 128, 192, 256 and 320 kbps options. WAV export includes 16-bit PCM, 24-bit PCM and 32-bit float choices.
Can I cancel an export while it is processing?
Yes. The export panel displays progress and provides a Cancel Processing button while an MP3 or WAV render is active.
Which audio formats can I open?
The file picker accepts common formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC. Actual decoding support can vary depending on the browser and operating system.
Is my audio uploaded while I edit it?
The editor is designed to process selected audio in the browser. Normal editing and rendering do not require storing your audio file on UtilityGlen servers.
